1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Username
  • Password
  • Organization name
  • Contact/authentication data

Payment data: Payment information is handled and stored by Stripe (stripe.com/privacy). We never see your card numbers.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device data, log and usage data, and session cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the service
  • To manage your account and authenticate you
  • To process payments via Stripe
  • To send transactional and administrative emails via Postmark
  • To send marketing communications via Loops (you may unsubscribe at any time)
  • To identify usage trends and improve the service
  • To protect the security of the service and prevent fraud
  • To respond to your inquiries and support requests
  • To request feedback via Marker.io (beta users only)

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the service:

  • Stripe - payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
  • Postmark - transactional email
  • Loops - marketing email
  • Flare - error tracking
  • Laravel Cloud - application hosting
  • HubSpot - CRM and sales
  • Marker.io - user feedback (beta users only)

We may also share information in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets).

4. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and maintain basic site functions. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect your ability to use the service.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as you have an account with us. When you delete your account, we delete your data from our active systems. Some information may be retained in backup archives for a limited period.

6. International Transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you are located in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. To exercise these rights, email hello@itemizer.app.

California residents may submit a data subject access request. EU/UK residents may contact their local data protection authority if they believe we are processing their data unlawfully.

8. Children

Itemizer is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
